As someone who has played tennis for over 10 years, I wanted to make fun tennis dampeners designed with young adults in mind. I was tired of seeing the same old options on the market and felt like nothing out there matched my style or personality. As a kid, choosing dampeners was exciting because there were playful and creative options. But as I got older, dampener designs had barely changed in over a decade. The choices felt stale, predictable, and made more for young children than for players my age. Even worse, I constantly struggled with dampeners flying off my racket mid-match, interrupting points and becoming frustrating distractions.

In the summer of 2025, I decided to create NJM Dampeners. My goal was clear. Design tennis dampeners that were fun, unique, and genuinely appealing to players in their teens and twenties but still enjoyable for tennis lovers of all ages. Beyond great looks, I also solved the practical issue I'd faced for years by making dampeners with a snug and secure fit. Once they're on your racket, they stay put and won't interrupt your play.
